Flashback Friday: Paranormal Kicks Cancer 2012

This October, I thought it might be fun to take our readers on a trip down memory lane. I started doing talks on the legends and lore of Illinois in 2007, and since then, I’ve been lucky to have attended many great events, meeting a lot of interesting folks in the process. Held at the grounds of Peoria State Hospital in Bartonville, Illinois in 2012, I was happy to attend the Paranormal Kicks Cancer event because it raised money for such a great cause. One of the speakers was Amelia Cotter, who is a cancer survivor. Her talk really brought home the importance of fighting this terrible disease. Ghost Head Soup also gave an interesting talk, along with David Lowry and the headliner, Chris Flemming, of Dead Famous and Psychic Kids. Flemming shared some of the strange and frightening events he experienced as a child and more recently in one of his residences. I also met Rachel Black, the talented photographer responsible for the cover of the 2nd edition of my book Haunting Illinois.
