There are no shrinking legends…

“There may be a kernel of truth to the old stories that have been told over and over through the generations. But no legend is worth its salt unless it has been exaggerated five or six thousand times. Like the tale about the monster catfish at Bagnell Dam. The first iteration of that saga probably discussed a large minnow, which later evolved into a monstrous human-size catfish. The finite truth is difficult to pin down when discussing legends. Nevertheless, whether the story is accurate or grossly embellished, it takes a lot to become a legend. Legends don’t come easy and, once born, will only grow in dimension. There are no shrinking legends.”
