Ouija Board Spirit

History, Mystery, and Hauntings of Southern IllinoisFrom History, Mystery, and Hauntings of Southern Illinois by Bruce Cline.

Our good friend, Danni Weinhoffer sent us this true story.

“You know about the Ouija board and my family’s fascination with it, right? Well we went to see my brother at his new house a couple of weeks ago…..and they had the Ouija board out.

No one could get any spirit to come to them, so me and my sis got together, we ALWAYS bring em in. We start talking to a ghost and I ask it if it is MY ghost from home, at first it says yes, but then it couldn’t answer like she normally does, so I said are you pretending to be her and it said yes ma’am.

I asked its name and its age, it spelled Jimmy and went to 4. I was like 4 what? 4 years and it didn’t answer; I said forty-something like me? And it said yes ma’am.

We talked to him for a while then he got quiet and I asked if there was anyone else with him and he said yes, I asked if we could talk to the other ghost and it said yes, so we started talking to the next one, we asked its name and it went to the letters AZ, and we asked its age and it went to 0. It wouldn’t talk anymore and we got tired of trying … AZ and age 0 really!? We were non-believers in that one.

Next day my sis and her guy are driving out in the country and found something. They came flying back to the house; hey that ghost … his name was Jimmie right? Uh yeah, why?

Come on, come on, come on they said.

About 2 miles down the road is this memorial … HUGE memorial…. JIMMY, a BABY and another girl. CARWRECK. We came back and asked the board about it, yes it was him, died in 2005. I looked it up on the internet…. sure as heck did!”
