Vol. 3 Issue 8: Cumberland Cemetery

Vol3Issue8smallCumberland Cemetery, located near the town of Wenona in Marshall County, is rumored to be the home of a headless lady, spook lights, and the ghost of a little girl. The cemetery itself is rich in history. It was the site of the first farm in Evans Township, and its rolling hills were once occupied by a fort built during the Black Hawk War to protect the nearby settlers from marauding Sauk, Fox, and Kickapoo Indians.

Also in this issue, join The Fallen on their continuing adventures, as they meet a mysterious contact at the witching hour deep in the shadows of Cumberland Cemetery. Will our heros be arrested for trespassing again, or will a ghost of the past warn them of impending danger? Read the new issue to find out!

Also, don’t miss our exclusive interview with Brian Hendrian, founder of the Shelby Cryptozoology Research Society, co-host of Joliet Paranormal Radio, and Director of Chautauqua-Con 2009. All that and more awaits you in the new issue of the Legends and Lore of Illinois!
