Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia is home to the statue of Harriet Annie Marshall, otherwise known as “Violin Annie.” A popular local legend maintains that the sweet strains of a violin can be heard emanating from the cemetery at night. “Violin Annie” is said to be the origin of this ethereal music.
